Geeked out at the Creek

After dropping the kids off at school this morning I headed to Round Valley again.  I set up my tripod on the lowest setting and crouched down as low as physically possible to see through the lens, very relieved my kids weren't around to see me.  It was well worth it...I was able to capture the movement of the water by making the different adjustments to the ISO and aperture that the author of my Understanding Exposure book recommended.

f/22, 1/5 sec, ISO 200

  1. Were you holding the camera in all these (no tripod)? The water softens up very nicely with those 1/3 sec exposures :)

  2. Yep, I used a tripod. The day before I did NOT use a tripod, those pictures are here: http://www.coffeequeenkeepsbusy.com/2011/02/why-i-love-drive-to-school.html.
